Grievances Against Faculty Members
Faculty Members are employees that are classified as EPA (exempt from the State Personnel Act) and are responsible for instruction. To file a harassment or discrimination or related retaliation grievance based on a protected class against a faculty member, follow the procedures listed in the Faculty Manual, specifically Appendix X. As always, our office will guide you through the grievance process. If you have any questions about the complaint process or procedures, please contact the Associate Provost for Equity and Diversity at (252) 328-6804 or edc@ecu.edu.
If you are involved in a grievance investigation, whether as the complainant (one who filed the grievance), the respondent (the accused), or as a witness, you have rights and responsibilities. Please click the appropriate link below to view your rights and responsibilities.
