Scholarship is valued at $5,000 and is awarded to a senior student athlete who competed in football, men's basketball, or baseball and is planning to attend graduate school at ECU. Applicants should be of outstanding character and exemplify qualities of dedication, loyalty, persistence, and the spirit of competition on and off the field. Priority is given to applicants with at least a 3.0 GPA and a minimum of two years of education at ECU. The scholarship is awarded in the spring of each year.
Kristi Overton Female Scholar-Athlete Award
Scholarship is valued at $2,000 and is awarded only to current ECU female student athletes from NC. Other criteria include an outstanding talent in their respective sport, participation in student organizations and other extracurricular activities. Application is by invitation only from the Student Services Coordinator upon recommendation by a head coach. The scholarship is awarded in the spring of each year.

"Spirit of the East" Posteligibility Scholarship
Scholarship is valued at $6,000 and may be divided among more than one qualified applicant. The scholarship is awarded to current ECU student athletes who demonstrate outstanding commitment to the 'spirit' of ECU. Students who have completed NCAA athletic eligibility at ECU are encouraged to apply. Priority is given to those who have completed a minimum of two years of their education at ECU and have an over-all academic record that shows significant progress toward their academic goals. All applicants must submit 3 letters of recommendation and a two-page essay.
