6.       Business carried over to next year (list in priority order).

          None.

7.       Evaluation of the committee (include anything that hindered or assisted the

          committee's work during the year).

          A.      Charge:                Our charge is clear and appropriate.

          B.      Personnel:            A fine group of members, marvelously assisted by Lori Lee and Dot Clayton.

          C.      Attendance:         Good, after those uninterested or unable to attend resigned, but we never saw the student member.

          D.      Responsibilities:Those who attended on a regular basis did a lot of work and did it well.

          E.      Activities:             The committee is already charged with a lot of work, enough to cause resignations early in the year.  If the committee were to take on much more work, this could easily become an even more serious problem.  We conducted much of our work outside of regular meetings, via e-mail.

8.       Suggestion(s) to the Chair of the Faculty and/or Faculty Senate for improving the effectiveness of the committee.

Dot Clayton has been kind enough to attend and assist without being credited with membership.  It would be nice to recognize her contribution by having her an ex-officio member, as she was on the Teaching Effectiveness Committee.

 9.      Does the Committee’s organizational meeting next year need to be earlier than the date set this year?    NO
