ACTIONS OF MEETING

Agenda Item: Videotaping of nominees

Discussion:       Dot Clayton reported that Campus Living TV and Broadcasting and Communication have both stated that they are unable to take on this project. David Jones at Multimedia Center has been taping some of the nominees, while others have been asking colleagues to perform this service. There was general concern among the committee members about consistency of the videotapes, and whether poorly made videos would unfairly affect judgments of candidates.

Action Taken: A decision was made to approach the Provost with a request for funding to hire an outside professional for this responsibility.

Assigned additional duties to: Dot Clayton agreed to follow through on this.
