Actions of The Meeting

Meeting began at 2:05pm.

Approval of Minutes for March 4, 2004

There are no changes to work being performed by subcommittees.  The subcommittee for the University Awards and Robert L. Jones Award for Outstanding Teaching is starting to review the videotapes of 12 candidates.  Dr. Boklage will contact Dr. Stellwag to ensure that the videotape reviews are completed by mid-April to allow time for the awards preparation.  The awards will be given out on April 27, 2004.

The committee’s Annual Report has not yet been prepared.  It will be prepared after completion of all subcommittee work.  Dr. Boklage will draft the report and sent it to Committee members via email.  Committee members will vote on the report via email, after which Dr. Boklage will submit the final report to the Faculty Senate.  Dr. Boklage indicated the report will discuss the Committee’s work with respect to nominating award recipients, revising the procedures for annual lifetime and five-year university/creative activity awards, and discussions the committee had concerning the criteria used for several awards

With no other business, the meeting was adjourned at 2:25pm.
