I. Estes moved approval of minutes and catalogue copy of 1-10-02, Mitchelson seconded. Motion passed.
II. Sharon Bland presented changes to the Course Proposal Form. Estes moved approval, Taylor seconded. Motion passed.
III. Professors Al Muller and Bruce Southard presented changes to the English Curriculum. The first item considered was a new concentration in Teaching English as Second Language. Estes moved approval, Markowski seconded. Motion passed. The second item included revisions to offerings in multicultural literature, including new course 4340. Huener moved approval with editorial changes, Estes seconded. Motion passed. The third item consisted of revisions of the BA and BS requirements, including new course 3020. Lapicki moved approval, Batie seconded. Motion passed.
IV. Professor Chuck Singhas presented revisions to the Biology curriculum, including new course and lab BIOL 4880/1. Markowski moved approval, Estes seconded.
V. Professor Dave Row presented revisions to the BS in Physical Activity and Fitness. Estes moved approval, Mitchelson seconded. Motion passed. Professor Steve Estes presented changes to the BS in Physical Education, including new course EXSS 3804. Knickerbocker moved approval, Lapicki seconded. Motion passed.
VI. Professor Dawn Clark presented revisions to the Dance curriculum. Estes motioned approval, Markowski seconded. Motion passed.
VII. Professors Katherine Warsco and Ginger Woodard presented revisions to two AMID programs. The first item consisted of changes to the BS in Apparels and Textiles Merchandising and the Merchandising Minor, including new course AMID 3200. Estes moved approval, Mitchelson seconded. Motion passed. The second item included changes to the BS in Interior Design. Markowski moved approval, Taylor seconded. Motion passed.
