Extraordinary minutes of action taken by e-mail vote of the University Curriculum Committee on 10-29-02:

As instructed by the Transition Committee, the Departments of English, History, and Mathematics have completed their work with the Office of the Registrar to establish new course prefixes for courses in English education, history education, and mathematics education.  The departments have deemed that the following courses in their respective units should be transferred from their current prefix to the new education prefix and the registrar has completed the transfer of these courses.  The prefixes have been changed throughout the curriculum where these courses appear as degree requirements.
 
Department of English
The following courses appear in the current catalog under the ENGL prefix but have been transferred to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, School of Education, to appear under the prefix ENED (English education).

Department of History

The following courses appear in the current catalog under the HIST prefix but have been transferred to the Department of Curriculum and Instruction, School of Education, to appear under the prefix HIED (history education).

Department of Mathematics

The following courses appear in the current catalog under the MATH prefix.  Some of the courses have been transferred to the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, School of Education, to appear under the prefix MATE (mathematics education).  Other courses will be double-listed under the MATH prefix in the mathematics department and under the MATE prefixe in the mathematics and science education department.
