University Curriculum Committee

 

The University Curriculum committee met on Thursday, 10

October 1996, at 1:30 p.m. in Brewster B-104.

 

The minutes of 12 September 1996 were approved as

amended.  "Electron submission" should read "electronic

submission."

 

Randy Joyner, Ivan Wallace and Parmalee Hawk presented

the new course proposal for ASIP 2000 (Introduction to

Computer Literacy).  Jones moved acceptance as amended.

Powers seconded. The motion passed.

 

The chair presented a request to unbank MUSC 1765

(Symphonic Band). Grossnickle moved acceptance.  Jones

seconded. The motion passed.

 

The chair presented a request to unbank FREN 2222

(French Black Literature in Translation).  Grossnickle moved

acceptance.  Jones seconded. The motion passed.

 

The chair presented a request to amend the description of

DSCI 4963 (Topics in Decision Sciences) to indicate that it

may be taken more than once for a maximum of 9 s.h. with a

change in topic.  Grossnickle moved acceptance as

amended.  Joyner seconded. The motion passed.

 

The committee discussed the upcoming meeting with the

Committee on Committees and the proposed workshop.

 

The meeting adjourned at 2:15 p.m.
