University Curriculum Committee

 

The University Curriculum committee met on Thursday, 24

October 1996, at 1:30 p.m. in Brewster B104.

 

The minutes of 10 October 1996 were approved as

amended. In the catalog copy, ASIP 1000 was not changed:

ASIP 2000 was added.

 

Katie Walsh (Sports Medicine) and Tony Parrillo (Health

and Human Performance) presented a proposed revision to

the BS in School and Community Health Education adding

an Athletic Trainer option and the following new courses:

HLTH 2800 (Standard Nomenclature of Athletic Injuries),

2810 (Foundations of Athletic Training), 3810 (Etiology and

Evaluation of the Trunk and Upper Extremity), 3820

(Etiology and Evaluation of the Lower Extremity), 3860

(Sports Medicine Practicum I), and 4860 (Sports Medicine

Practicum II). Delete HLTH 3220, 3221, 3240, 3241. Delete

Certification Program in Athletic Training under Exercise

and Sports Science. Powers moved approval as amended;

Lapas seconded. The motion passed,

 

John Satterfield and Carl Billingsley (Art) presented new

course proposals for ART 3510, 3511, 3512, 3515 (Directed

Field Study in Studio Art). Graziani moved approval as

amended: Cox seconded. The motion passed.

 

The meeting adjourned at 3: 15 p.m.
