University Curriculum Committee

 

The University Curriculum Committee met on Thursday, 14 November 1996,

at 1:30 p.m. in Brewster B-104

 

The minutes of 24 October were approved as amended. 

Catalog copy for Sports Medicine Practicum II should be

numbered HLTH 4860; the Athletic Taining option major

requirements should not list PSYC 1000.

 

Larry Hagler and Rick Niswander (Accounting) presented

the proposed new course ACCT 4451 (International

Accounting) and asked for changes in the BSBA and

BSA/MSA degree requirements.  Approval was moved by

Grossnickle; seconded by Poweers. The motion passed.

 

Larry Means (Psychology) presented a request to add a new

course, PSYC 4401 (Thesis Research), change the BA in

Psychology and to modify PSYC 4400 by changing the

number to 4402 and changing the prerequisites.

 

Approval was moved by Grossnickle; seconded by Jones. 

The motion passed.

 

John Bort (Anthropology) presented a new course proposal,

ANTH 4550, 4551 (Anthropology Honors).  Approval was

moved by Grossnickle; seconded by Powers.  The motion

passed.

 

Susan McDaniel (Biology) presented a request to revise  the

prerequisite of BIOL 3660 and to revise and change credit

distribution of BIOL 3320.  Approval was moved as

amended by Powers; seconded by Mohammed.  The motion

passed.

 

Grossnickle moved approval of revisions in AERO 1101,

1103, 2201, 2203, 3301, 3303, 4401, and 4403 whereby

each course would meet for two hours of laboratory per

week.  Mohammed seconded.  The motion passed.

 

The meeting adjourned at  3:45p.m.
