The University Curriculum Committee met on Thursday February 8,

1996 at 1:30 P.M. in Brewster B-104.

 

Minutes of January 25. 1996 postponed until the next meeting.

 

Revisions in BFA program for Music Theatre Majors postponed until

the next meeting.

Sherry Southerland (English) presented new course proposals for

ENGL 4800 & 4815. Bob Joyner moved approval as amended; title

revision and at 3000 level. Cox seconded. Motion passed.

 

Joyce Reed, Mark Jones and Darrell Ross (Social Work) presented

revisions to the Criminal Justice curriculum including; field

placement as an elective, admission requirement of 2.5 from

transfer institution; new courses JUST 3100, 4004, 4005; course

revision and level change JUST 3009 (formerly 2008), JUST 3800

(formerly 4355, JUST 3502 (formerly 3010), JUST 4300 (formerly

3600); change prerequisites all JUST 3000 and above; and, bank

JUST 4001, 4002,& 5000. Evelyn Powell moved approval of new

courses as amended. Tijani Mohammed seconded. Motion passed.

 

Faculty will return with requested program changes related to

cognate courses.

 

Philip Phillips (Art) presented new course ART 2870. Evelyn

Powell moved approval as amended. Graziani seconded. Motion

passed.

 

Meeting adjourned at 3:20 P.M.

 

The next meeting is scheduled for Thursday February 22, 1996 at
