Minutes of the 11 March 1999, Meeting

University Curriculum Committee

 

 

The meeting was called to order at 1:30 p.m.

 

The minutes of the 25 February meeting were approved

as amended. Bob Joyner moved approval, Janis Shea

seconded. The motion passed.

 

Karen Mulcahy, Patrick  Pease,  Yuan Wan presented the

package for the department of geography deferred from the

25 Feb. meeting.The package includes: new courses GEOG

4210, 4320, 4420 & 5220; renumber 3500 & 4500; rename

3051, 4391-3 & 5391-3;revise course description 4391,

4392, 4393, 5391-3; revise and renumber 4400, 4600 &

5600; revise descriptions 4801, 4802 & 4803; revise B.A.  &

B.S. program categories.  Janis Shea moved approval, Dale

Knickerbocker seconded. .The motion passed as amended.

 

Mulatu Wubneh, Wes Hankins & Harold Storm presented the

package from the department of Planning including: :

including creation of coastal Planning & Development

concentration and minor and revise Urban & Regional

Planning minor and concentration and new courses PLAN

4001, 4005 & 4015. Greg Lapicki moved approval, JoAnn

Jones seconded. The motion passed as amended.

 

Jim Smith presented the prefix change of ANAT

5011,12,30,31 to HPRO.  JoAnn Jones moved approval

Dale Knickerbocker seconded .The motion passed.

 

No action was taken on this item as no one attended to

present.

 

L. H. Zincone   presented the School of Business changes.

Caroline Ayers moved approval, Linda Wolfe seconded. The

motion passed.

 

Lilla Holsey &  Ivan Wallace presented the change of HEED

to FACS. Greg Lapicki moved approval, JoAnn Jones

seconded. The motion passed.
