University Curriculum Committee

 

The University Curriculum Committee met on Thursday,

September 24, 1997 at 1:30 p.m. in Brewster B-104.

 

The minutes of September 11 were approved.

 

Powers moved to revise prerequisites for ETHN 4000, 5000;

change "or consent" to "and consent". Mohammed

seconded. The motion passed.

 

Joyner moved the unbanking of GEOG 3001 & 3004. Jones 

seconded. The motion passed.

 

Meta Downes (CSDI) presented changes to the 97-98

undergraduate catalog.  Remove words from p. 10 under

Speech-Language and Hearing Clinic. On p. 178 in # 3 core

delete CSDI 3025, add CSDI 4000 & 4020, change semester

hours to 36. Page 178 change heading of minor. Page 183

change description of CSDI 4335.

 

Approval was moved as amended (deleting EXSS 1000, &

HLTH 1000) by Jones. Knickerbocker seconded. The motion

passed.

 

Jones moved the banking of CHIN 2000, 2001:  CSCI 2903: 

ENGL 2750, 3620: GEOL 3420;  HIST 3125;  INTL 2000,

2001;  NURS 3250, 3251;  PHYS 3650, 3651, 4110;  PSYC

2010;  THEA 4032;  DSCI 4633;  MGMT 4492, 4472;  ACCT

3901, 4901, 4931;  MUSC 4465,  BIOL 1070, 1071,5000,

5850, 5851. Powers seconded. The motion passed.

 

Smith suggested a November orientation meeting.
