Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 2:02 P.M.

New Business

CLAS 3500

A motion was made and seconded to grant general education (humanities) credit to CLAS 3500, Egypt, Cleopatra, and Rome. Prof. Cerutti was on hand to speak to this proposal. After discussion, the motion passed.

Election to University Athletic Committee

Jim Decker was elected to serve as the Academic Standards Committee representative to the University Athletic Committee.

Hearings on the Goals of the Liberal Arts Foundations Curriculum

After discussion about the need to solicit feedback from students, a decision was made for George Bailey to approach the student senate and get on the agenda for one of their upcoming meetings.

The committee began discussing the feedback generated as a result of the hearings held on September 21^st and 22^nd. This topic will continue to be addressed during future meetings.
