Academic Standards Committee

September 15, 2003

Absent: House, Martinez, Toppen, Baer

The committee elected the following officers:

Catherine Rigsby, Chair,

Jim Decker, Vice-Chair,

M. S. Ravi, Secretary.

The committee discussed upcoming business. The Chair will schedule a called meeting in the first week of October to discuss the General Education guidelines. Committee members are asked to email Catherine Rigsby (rigsbyc@mail.ecu.edu) the times at which they will be available during this week. Rigsby will try to schedule two faculty forums during the last week of October. Decker will contact Baer on arranging a forum for students.

Jim Decker was elected the committee’s representative to the University Athletic Committee.

The meeting adjourned at 3:40 p.m.
