The meeting was called to order at 12:00 pm.
Regular members Tom Caron (Education), Michele Eble (English), Puri Martinez (Foreign Languages), Mike Tahaney (Theartre and Dance) and Toby Allen (Chemistry) were present.
Ex-officio members Mark Taggart (Chair of the Faculty, Music) and Catherine Rigsby (Past Chair of the Faculty, Geology) were present.
Lori Lee was also present.
ACTIONS TAKEN:
1. The Committee approved the minutes from the August 28, 2007 meeting.
2. The Committee prepared a slate of nominees for 2011 terms on the UNC Faculty Assembly. The following individuals are put forth for the Faculty Senate’s consideration: Profs. Andrew Morehead (Chemistry), Hunt McKinnon (Interior Design & Merch.), Mark Taggart (Music), and Ralph Scott (Academic Library Services).
3. The Committee set future meeting dates of February 6th, March 5th, and March 19th. A meeting on March 26th may be also be scheduled, should the need arise. For the February 6th meeting, Tom Caron is to invite the Chairs of EPPC and UCC (see below).
4. The Committee directs the EPPC to make its reports to the Faculty Senate for approval/votes.
5. Lori Lee agreed to forward the list of Faculty Senate Committee volunteers, once finalized, to the members of the Committee on Committees, before the March 5th meeting.
