The minutes of
the October 25, 2007 meeting were approved without dissent.
3.
Old
Business: J. Neil reported that she informed the Faculty
Senate about the guidance document covering multi-credit courses, that no
Senate action was required, and that the guidance document will be on the UCC
web site.
4.
Request from the
Department of Anthropology for six new courses, ANTH 3028, ANTH 3116, ANTH
3117, ANTH 4201, ANTH 4202, and ANTH 4203, was approved with minor revisions to
each. Request for a new course, ANTH 4990, 4991, was tabled. Request for revision of three existing
courses, ANTH 4501, 4502, 4503, was tabled.
Request to cross-list ANTH 2760, ANTH 3720, and ANTH 3770 as English
courses with the same numbers was approved, as was a request for a change in
prerequisites.
5.
New Business:
Committee adopted a one-week timeframe for the submission of revisions to
curricular proposals. Thus, the standard
guideline is that individuals presenting curricular proposals should submit all
revisions requested by the committee within one week of the UCC meeting at
which such revisions were requested.
6.
Meeting was
