I. Call to order
Mark
Taggart called to order the regular meeting of the Educational Policies and
Planning Committee at 2:00 on 14 September 2007 in RA 142.
II. The following persons were
present: Leslie Pagliari, David Weismiller, Jim Mitchell, Rose Allen, Dale
Knickerbocker, Austin Bunch, Linner,
III. Approval of minutes from last meeting
Dale
Knickerbocker reviewed with the committee the minutes from the last meeting.
The minutes were approved. (Motion – Tovey; Second – Weismiller)
IV. New business
a) Election of
Officers for 2007-2008 Academic Year. Dale Knickerbocker, Chair; Jim Mitchell,
Vice Chair; and decision was made by the committee to have a rotating
secretary.
b) Proposal for
discontinuance of the Early Childhood Certificate Program in the Department of
Child Development and Family Relations, College of Human Ecology (Presentation
by Sandra Triebenbacher on behalf of the faculty of CFDR) – Motion Approved
c) Request to
offer existing MAEd in B-K Education Online (Presentation by Sandra
Triebenbacher on behalf of the faculty of CFDR) – Motion Approved
d) Request for
Authorization to Establish Doctor of Audiology (AuD) Program, in the Department
of Communication Sciences and Disorders, College of Allied Health Sciences (Presentation
by Gregg Givens and Deborah Culbertson on behalf of the faculty of
Communication Science and Disorders) – Motion Approved
e) Discussion of
the final draft of revised Part V of the Faculty Manual was postponed until 9
October 2007 meeting
V. Adjournment
Dale Knickerbocker adjourned the
meeting at 2:45 pm.
