Meeting called to order at 3:00
The Annual Report was accepted with editorial changes.
A meeting was called for May 6 at 10 AM. The purpose of the meeting is to evaluate submitted recommendations for changes in XII; A; C; and D. Recommendations from Arts and Sciences will also be evaluated. The Chair will include appropriate documents with the forthcoming agenda for the meeting.
D. Mageean reported progress on the issue of joint appointments. A committee has been formed and charged.
D. Weismiller and D. Muller presented information about an electronic PAD. They requested support for pilot studies on electronic storage of PAD information and the use of an electronic PAD for reappointment, tenure, and promotion (to Professor) decisions. With the stipulation that the pilot studies be on a volunteer basis and for reappointment and tenure decision that only new probationary term faculty be included, the committee agreed (8 yes; 1 no; 1 abstain) to the request.
