ACTIONS OF MEETING
This meeting was held in the Laupus Health Sciences
Library. Members viewed blueprints of ongoing renovation and toured the
facility. A report by this committee to the Faculty Senate is planned for
February. The committee discussed issues related to SACS reaccreditation and
library planning for possible budget cuts. It was noted that ECU’s libraries
absorbed campus-based cuts last academic year and may now be required to make
further cuts by the GA. Finally the committee discussed, in general terms,
space issues effecting Joyner Library. It is an ongoing trend to house other
entities in Joyner (Pirate Tutoring,
