ACTIONS OF MEETING:

I. Agenda Item: Volunteers for the Residency Committee

John Trifilo mentioned that additional volunteers were needed for the Residency Committee and that interested persons should notify John. John will send out a blurb about the work of the committee that can be passed along to solicit volunteers.

II. Agenda Item: Grade appeals

Mike mentioned that the grade appeals committee is still working on the process.

lll. Agenda Item: Drop policy

Discussion: The committee asked for the Internship Coordinator to send a letter outlining the details of how the internship conflicts with the class schedule.

Action Taken: 3 requests: 0 – approved, 2 – denied, 1 tabled

IV. Agenda Item: Retroactive withdrawals

Discussion: In one of the cases, the committee recommended that the student remedies the incompletes and tries to come back in the summer to raise her GPA.

Action Taken: 8 requests: 3 – approved, 5 – denied

Total items heard: 11 requests: 3 – granted, 7 – denied, 1 – tabled
