ACTIONS OF MEETING

Agenda Item: Approval of March 20, 2008, Minutes.

Action Taken: Committee approved the minutes.

Agenda Item: Resolution on Funding the Scholarship of Engagement and Resolution on the Transparency of the so-called "BD-119"

Discussion: Dr. Scott circulated the drafts of the resolutions through email. The committee approved the resolutions.

Action Taken: Dr. Scott will present to the Faculty Senate the drafts of the Resolution for Funding the Scholarship of Engagement and Resolution on the Transparency of the so-called "BD-119"

Agenda Item: Dissemination of ECU Faculty Housing Information

Discussion: Issues related to disseminating Greenville housing information to new and visiting faculty had been raised in October 2007. The Faculty Welfare Committee recommends that the current official ECU website of the Student Affairs Off-Campus & Community Living be reconfigured to be more faculty friendly and that new faculty be sent housing information with the initial contract.

Action Taken: None.

Prof. Scott thanked the committee for their work during 2007-8 and adjourned the meeting.
