Self-introduction of people in attendance. Welcome by Morrison and review of committee charge. Welcome by Ringeisen. Stated the university's concern for recruiting and retaining good quality students while increasing enrollment. Description of action: Clark nominated Cope as chair. Motion second. No more nominations. Cope elected as chair. Cope accepted. Warren stepped down as chair; Cope assumed the chair's position. Muller nominated Warren as Vice-Chair. Cope nominated Clark as Vice-Chair. No more nominations. Clark and Warren elected as Co-Vice-Chairs. Clark and Warren accepted. Warren nominated Walsh as secretary. No more nominations. Walsh elected as secretary. Walsh accepted. Description of action: Warren asked if the meeting time could be changed. Members were polled what time was most convenient to meet. 11:00 was determined to be best time agreed by consensus. Description of action: Cope asked Warren for business that needed to be carried over from last year. Warren stated the following: 1. Revised international students resolution needs to be presented to faculty senate. 2. Review of long range of enrollment projections for the next five years. Description of action: Discussion of 2000-2001 goals. The following were identified as the goals to meet this year: 1. Presenting international students resolution to faculty senate. 2. Art requirement as an admission requirement. 3. Impact of undergraduate majors changing to graduate status in recruitment efforts. 4. University non-degree policy. 5.
