ACTIONS OF THE MEETING:
Description of action: 
The minutes of the August 21, 2000 meeting 
were approved.  Note:  all future meetings of 
this committee for the 2000 - 2001 academic 
year will commence at 11:00 am.

Description of action:
Warren & McDiarmid presented the Resolution 
Supporting International Programs and its 
history in this committee.  It was decided 
last year to hold off presenting the 
resolution to the Faculty Senate until the 
new Director of International Programs 
(Williams) came on board.  Changes to the 
document included adding the word 
"International" prior to "recruiting" in the 
seventh statement; as well as updating the 
current data regarding numbers of 
international students on campus. 

Assigned additional duties to:
Cope requested that Williams attend the 
Faculty Senate meeting (with full speaking 
privileges) with him in November to present 
the updated Resolution.

Description of action:
Powell introduced Dana Espinosa as the new 
Assistant Vice Chancellor for Enrollment 
Management.  

Follow-up action required:
Cope requested a report to be available for 
the next committee meeting from Admissions 
(and Espinosa) on the long-range projections 
for enrollment.

Description of action:
Cope charged the committee with the task of 
deriving methods to market, recruit, and 
retain students west of I-95 to ECU
