Reverse WI designation from specific Spanish 2440 sections
P. Clark to contact registrar for clarification. Suggested that for future department chair
designate WI sections and communicate to registrar and WIC.

Course reviewed and vote received via email. Course approved.

Item: WI by Contract
Much discussion was generated regarding to WI courses via contract in similar fashion to honor courses. It was suggested that courses proposed as WI be submitted by department chair with notification of registrar after approval of WIC or new committee.

Courses MUL T 3500 and 4999 are listed as WI but not approved by WIC nor listed in catalogue.
Course description notes courses as WI. Discussion regarding cross listing of courses or
department curriculum changes with subsequent course renumbering and changes. P. Clark to
contact department chair for clarification. Discussed need to identify all WI courses with
distribution to WIC members and registrar. P. Clark and P. Bizzaro compiling from review of
annual reports.

Course proposal still in progress. P. Clark has contacted S. Estes and offered assistance as
needed.

Approved as WI as 4320, approved via registrar with renumbering as WI. See attached emails

Description of Action:
Item: New Committee Structure -Academic Standards Committee
P. Clark reiterated with upcoming academic year the following committees, Teaching
Effectiveness, General College, Honors and Writing Across the Curriculum will comprise the
new Academic Standards Committee. It was suggested that to facilitate future committee work
the WAC develop procedure manual. To be discussed at next meeting.
