Description of Action Item: The committee members 
reviewed the minutes from the March 27, 1997 meeting. 
Motion carried to approve minutes from March 27, 1997 
meeting.

Description of action Item: Lori Lee distributed copies of the 
revised statement for "Proposed Policy for Transfer Credit of 
Writing Courses" - see Faculty Senate Agenda - 22 April 
1997 Attachment 5.

Description of action Item: Review of request that BVTE 
4390 - Consumer Financial Management be designated as 
WI.  Action: Committee members raised several questions 
regarding the following items:

* clarification of editing and revision (see pp. 8-9)

* statement of criteria for research paper (see #4)

* clarification of mastery level

Lynn Eudey will contact Rita Reaves regarding the 
committee's concerns and ask the professor to attend the 
next meeting.

Action: Motion carried - Request for WI designation for 
BVTE 4390 tabled until the next meeting.

Description of action:

Item: Request for WI designation for ART 2970
Action: Motion carried that ART 2970 be designated as WI 
contingent upon correction of error (see item #3 - which 
states 5 page critique).

Description of action: Item: Lynn stated that Chris will be 
circulating the Director's Final Report and asked committee 
members to review the report.
