March 18, 2009 Professor Jan Tovey Chair of the Faculty Faculty Senate Office Rawl Annex 140 Campus Dear Jan: I have received and hereby accept Resolution 09-14 regarding the request by the Faculty Senate to reconsider the administrative action on increased parking fees which was adopted by the Senate at their meeting on February 24, 2009. I believe the spirit of this resolution has been accomplished by: the willingness of Vice Chancellor Seitz to review both the timing and amount of the proposed increase; the willingness of the Board of Trustees to postpone formal action until the April meeting; and my request that Executive Council take this up again in March. At the same time, I must inform you that informal discussions by the Board indicated, in rather strong language, that the Board does not believe that ECU has requested large enough parking fee increases. Hence, the likelihood is small that there will be no increase this year.
