III. Selected Additional Recognition for Academic Achievements

·        ECU ranked fourth in Conference USA with 182 student-athletes named to the Commissioner’s Honor Roll (maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better).

·        ECU ranked third in Conference USA with 34 student-athletes winning Commissioner’s Academic Medals (maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or better).

·        There are 16 student-athletes who have maintained a cumulative GPA of 4.0

·        Ms. Heidi Krug from the volleyball team won a C-USA Postgraduate Scholarship ($4000).

·        Ms. Michelle Williams from women’s golf and Ms. Heidi Krug from the volleyball team were selected Scholar Athlete of the Year Award Winners.  C-USA Scholar Athlete of the Year awards are presented to the top student-athletes in each conference-sponsored sport.  The award is based on academic achievement, athletic achievement, and community service.

·        The men’s golf team (3.339), the women’s golf team (3.61), and the softball team (3.378) were all recipients of the Sport Academic Award.  This award is given to the team in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest grade point average for the current academic year.  The women’s golf team shared the award with the Marshall golf team for the highest annual GPA with a 3.61.
