7.        Evaluation of the committee (include anything that hindered or assisted the

 committee's work during the year).

          A.       Charge: The charge is clear and appropriate.

          B.       Personnel: The personnel were a dedicated group of individuals who worked well in subcommittees, willingly attended extra meetings due to the heavy workload, who were assisted by Lori Lee with guidance by the Chair of the Faculty.

          C.       Attendance:  the attendance was good, especially in light of the extra called meetings.

          D.       Responsibilities: The many responsibilities were handled successfully, with appreciated assistance from resource persons such as Henry Ferrell, David Long, and Bob Morrison.

          E.       Activities: The committee’s chair managed a most difficult and complex agenda with aplomb.  the various subcommittees, like the revisions to Parts I-IV of Appendix D of the ECU Faculty Manual, were crucial to the success obtained by the Faculty Governance Committee in the fulfillment of its charge.

8.        Suggestion(s) to the Chair of the Faculty and/or Faculty Senate for improving the effectiveness of the committee.

The guidance of the Chair of the Faculty was extremely helpful to the operation of the committee.

9.        Does the Committee’s organizational meeting next year need to be earlier than the date set this year?

No.

Signed:        Mary Glascoff, Chairperson

                   Mark Taggart, Secretary
