ACTIONS OF MEETING

In the absence of a quorum, members  discussed methods to

simplify the application process.

Options discussed included combining the stipend and grant

applications, seeking a source of expense money during the

summer, and requiring summer stipend applicants to provide a

budget showing other sources of funding.

Felts and Stellwag volunteered to form a subcommittee to explore

this and report back to the committee.  Taggart will contact

Rigsby or Reiser to serve on subcommittee.  Subcommittee will

meet on Friday, 17 March 1995, at 1:00 p.m.

The next meeting will be held on Friday, 24 March, at 1:00 p.m.

in Rawl #105.  The main agenda item will be revisions to the

application.
