reviewed codes as a subcommittee of the whole

Reported out to Senate following unit codes: Philosophy,
Academic Library Services, Biology, Theatre and Dance.
Reviewed the following unit codes: Economics (chair of unit
is holding changes), Biology, Theatre and Dance, Academic
Library Services, Allied Health Sciences (returned to unit for
revision).

1. Resolution to Governance regarding assignment of annual
check up of unit code compliance to unit code compliance
officer or body
2. Following unit codes returned this year for non
compliance: Economics (with chair {who functions as unit
code committee}); Allied Health Sciences
7. Evaluation of the committee (include anything that
hindered or assisted the committee's work during the year).
A. Charge: Appropriate
B. Personnel: Serves with distinction and thoughtfulness
C. Attendance: Members serve as needed
D. Responsibilities: All members work together to insure
unit codes are in agreement with ECU and UNC codes.
E. Activities: All scheduled meetings were carried out in
exemplary fashion
8. Suggestion(s) to the Chair of the Faculty and/or
Faculty Senate for improving the effectiveness of the
committee.
Units need to be more diligent in revising codes. Suggest
that chair follow up with VCs on an annual basis to insure
compliance.
