The Pirate Read Book Recommendation

Members of the ECU community are invited to submit recommendations for next year's Pirate Read program. Books should meet the following criteria:

A book that 18-year-old students will read without direction and guidance.
A book that will give rise to good discussions in a variety of curricular and co-curricular contexts.
A well-written book with important themes and issues that challenge and broaden students' perceptions about the world and their relationship to it.
A book with approximately 300 pages.
A book whose author is an engaging speaker and who is available to come to Greenville (the committee will determine speaker availability).
