Orientation Assistants (OAs)

Orientation Assistants are upper-class students who assist new students in their transition to East Carolina University. They can address questions and concerns that new students may have and give a student perspective on life at ECU. OAs assist in all aspects of the summer orientation programs to ensure that they run smoothly.

Please note that the selection process for 2013 has been completed and applications are no longer being accepted.

First Mates
First Mates will help plan and coordinate Camp P.I.R.A.T.E.S. They will serve as counselors and mentors to the freshmen, facilitating small group sessions and activities. The First Mate position is a great way to impact new students and to help them feel more acclimated to ECU before classes even begin. First Mates must be available for any planning meetings or training sessions.
