RESEARCH COMPLIANCE WORKSHOP

 The research compliance workshop is intended for all researchers including undergraduate students planning to conduct a research project at ECU.  All research conducted at ECU must comply with federal, state, and ECU regulations and policies.  New federal requirements require researchers to receive responsible conduct of research training.  This workshop will provide you with a brief introduction to the various compliance committees that you may need to contact to get your research approved prior to beginning your research project.  Subject matter to be discussed includes Human Subjects Protection, Chemical and Laboratory Safety, Using Animals in Research , Biohazards and Recombinant DNA, Conflicts of Interest , Export Controls, and Responsible Conduct of Research.
