The Honors College challenges and guides students to go above and beyond regular expectations of undergraduate study and excel in their progress toward future goals. As such, all Honors students are required to fulfill specific requirements prior to graduating from the Honors College.
Honors students are required to enroll in interdisciplinary seminars that are capped at twenty students to foster discussion and close bonds with both faculty and other Honors students. They are also required to take a colloquium each year focused on a different topic that is relevant to the short-term and long-term goals of each student.
Each Honors student is also required to submit a Senior Honors project before graduating from the Honors College. This project is intended to help students develop practical, real-world skills. Students may choose any topic and faculty mentor, and are encouraged to start planning ahead.
If a student needs help meeting any of these requirements or has any other questions, they are always welcome to visit Mamie Jenkins and talk to an Honors advisor. For a more detailed list of requirements for your year, visit the Advising and Requirements page.
