The Honors College wait list application process is open to any prospective fall 2017 undergraduate student who has been
accepted to East Carolina University prior to March 1, 2017. Strongest
consideration will be directed to those students who meet Honors College
minimum eligibility criteria (a minimum math/critical reading combined SAT score of 1200 [or 1270 on the new test] or minimum ACT score of 27 and a minimum unweighted high school GPA of 3.5 or minimum weighted high school GPA of 4.0). Students who have already submitted a completed application to the Honors College and who were initially denied admission are automatically added to the Honors College wait list.
The Honors College wait list is consulted to fill the Honors College entering class if the incoming cohort falls below the Honors College enrollment goal. The Honors College wait list is not connected with the EC Scholars, Discipline Scholars, or Early Assurance Programs selection processes. These are not open to students who are admitted through the wait list process.
The application carries a postmarked deadline date of March 15, 2017 for both the online application and the required peer letter of recommendation. The peer letter must be submitted to email@example.com. The Honors College will only communicate with students on the wait list in the event of an updated admission status with the Honors College.
