The Honors College wait list application process is open to any prospective fall 2014 undergraduate student who has been accepted to East Carolina University prior to March 14, 2014. Strongest consideration will be directed to those students who meet Honors College minimum eligibility criteria (see Application Process). Students who have already submitted a completed application to the Honors College and who were initially denied admission are automatically added to the Honors College wait list.
The Honors College wait list is consulted to fill the Honors College entering class if the incoming cohort falls below the Honors College enrollment goal. The Honors College wait list is not connected with the EC Scholars, Business Scholars, or Early Assurance Programs selection processes. These are not open to students who are admitted through the wait list process.
The application carries a postmarked deadline date of March 14, 2014 for both the online application and the required peer letter of recommendation. The Honors College will acknowledge receipt of completed wait list applications with an e-mail confirmation. This will occur at such time that the Honors College is in receipt of a completed online waitlist application and the required peer letter of recommendation. Following this electronic confirmation, the Honors College will only communicate with students on the wait list in the event of an updated admissions status with the Honors College. These decisions will be made on a rolling basis to begin in early-April and conclude by August 1, 2014.
