Student Success

The Office of Global Affairs assists our international students in their transition to life at East Carolina University, North Carolina and the United States.  We want our students to be successful in the classroom and engage in the active and vibrant life of an American college student.  Below are some links that you may find helpful during your time at ECU.

The Pirate Academic Success Center: provides free tutoring services, study skills coaching and workshops, academic mentoring, and the FIP Scholars program.  All services are offered free for ECU enrolled students.

University Writing Center: Open and available to students, faculty, and staff to work with undergraduate and graduate writing consultants on writing at any stage of the writing process

ECU Athletics: ECU is proud of its athletic program and now you are part of the “Pirate Nation”. Cheer for ECU football, basketball, baseball, and its other sports teams. Students receive free tickets to all sporting events.

Student Government Association: ECU invites its international students to take an active role in making positive changes on campus.
