International Student Association

The International Student Association (ISA) is one of over 200 student organizations at East Carolina University.  You can join the ISA any time throughout the course of the year and membership is open to all ECU students.

The ISA is comprised of international students (attending ECU for the duration of their studies), foreign exchange students (attending ECU for one or more semesters), as well as American students interested in learning about other cultures and points of view.

The purposes of the ISA include:

• To enhance international awareness, cooperation and diversity among international students, the East Carolina University campus and Greenville community.
• To provide the international students formal representation within the University community.
• To promote educational, cultural and social programs to support and serve the needs of international students.

Past activities and events have involved:

• Trips to the Outer Banks of North Carolina
• The Greenville International Festival
•  Monthly Cultural Days (China, India, Japan, Germany, Middle East, etc.)
• ECU’s World Fest Holiday Celebration
