I'm leaving for Chile in less than two weeks. I figured a blog would be the easiest way to keep everyone updated on my trip. There are so many things that need to be done before I leave, it doesn't seem like there's enough time! I'm going to miss everyone so much. Make sure you keep in touch and let me know what's going on in the states! I will be living in Valparaiso, Chile, which is right on the coast, not far from Santiago. I've seen pictures and it looks beautiful! I'm excited but pretty nervous about not knowing anyone there, and adjusting to a completely different dialect of Spanish. I hope my skills are all still there! Love you all and we'll be in touch! Chile blog

Greetings! My name is Greg, I'm 20 years old, and I'm a nursing major at East Carolina University in Greenville NC. I was never really much for blogging because I figured I'd never have much to say, but I will be studying abroad in Manchester England from January to mid April of 2006. The lovely people at the Institute of International Education have granted me $2,500 Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship to do a small project promoting the institute, studying abroad, and the generous scholarship they've given me. Hopefully you guys will find this helpful and interesting, especially if you too are interested in studying in a foreign country. Since the Gilman folks want me to promote study abroad, feel free to email me with any questions.

This is a travelogue that captures the adventures of East Carolina University students on a study abroad trip to India. The 32 day (May-June 2006) program in India is designed to introduce students to some of the many expressions of religious identity in India.  During the first part of the program, we will visit a varied selection of sites that people of different religions regard as sacred space. The second portion of the program will be spent in Dharamsala, a beautiful mountain town nestled in the Lesser Himalayan mountain range in north India.  For the duration of the eleven day stay in Dharamsala, each student, in consultation with the Program Director, will design and implement a self-directed project. I am a daughter to loving and supportive parents. I am going on a journey of lifetime to Växjö Sweden (fall 2006). Sweden blog
