About the Individual Development and Educational Assessment Survey (IDEA)
The IDEA Survey is conducted by IPAR on behalf of the Faculty Senate in the spring term. This tool provides faculty with an opportunity to provide feedback to their chairs/directors on a regular basis and supports the university's commitment to institutional effectiveness.
All responses and results are treated confidentially, since the reports from this survey are treated as personnel documents. The results, both numeric ratings and comments, are reported to the administrator who is evaluated, and only the numeric ratings are reported to his/her supervisor.
Of note is that the Brody School of Medicine uses its own survey form to evaluate their chairs.

The IDEA Survey is conducted each spring semester for about two weeks starting in mid-to-late April, and currently with the Administrator Survey.
