New Student Summer Orientation Surveys

Each summer, IPAR prepares basic summaries of the results for several of the surveys that are administered during the New Student Summer Orientation Program.

Student Orientation Evaluations
The Student Orientation Evaluation is administered by the First-Year Center and allows participants in orientation to provide their feedback regarding the quality of the orientation program and its various sessions.

Parent Orientation Evaluations
The Parent Orientation Evaluation is administered by the First-Year Center and allows parents who have attended the Parent Orientation to provide their feedback regarding the quality of the Parent complement to the student orientation program and its various sessions.

Orientation Assessment
The Orientation Assessment is administered by the First-Year Center. The survey collects information on the academic and social needs of entering freshmen. Additionally, when the orientation assessment survey is completed, freshmen can also complete a "Pirate Connection" survey form to indicate student organizations/activities that they would be interested in receiving more information about during the Fall semester.

"The Loft" Survey of Student Perceptions
"The Loft" is a series of reality-themed videos presented during orientation that serve as a medium to educate new students on adapting to the university environment. The survey collects information on students' perception of the issues addressed in the videos and how well they identify with the characters.
