Committees
The Office of Institutional Planning, located within Institutional Planning, Assessment and Research is responsible for facilitating an inclusive and collaborative planning process. The University-Wide Strategic Planning Committee, comprised of about 40 members, includes faculty, staff, administrators and students and is responsible for reviewing and updating the mission, vision and value statements, providing oversight to the Strategic Planning Executive Committee for identifying goals and objectives, and making progress reports to their respective divisions, colleges and units.
The Executive Committee of the University-Wide Strategic Planning Committee's responsibilities include:
Reviewing the university's Mission
Developing and implementing a framework to support institutional planning to ensure that the process in integrated and institution-wide
Establishing and monitoring the key performance indicators aligned to the goals of the Strategic Action Plan, 2010-2013
Working collaboratively with the University Space Planning Committee to ensure that planning priorities are communicated and appropriate space allocation decisions are made to advance the priorities of the institution
Working collaboratively with the Division of Administration and Finance so that planning priorities are aligned to the established budget prioritization process
Preparing and executing an internal communications for the strategic planning process to ensure that all ECU employees are aware of the planning process and timeline, its products, and opportunities to be involved.
