Strategic Plans

The university's strategic directions and supporting goals provide direction for colleges, departments, and units to develop their own strategic plans -- while focusing on specific issues of importance to their respective areas of responsibility.  Our planning efforts support institutional effectiveness and begin with the broadest perspective possible in the development of university goals and objectives in support of our five strategic directions: Education for a New Century; the Leadership University; Economic Prosperity in the East; Health, Health Care and Medical Innovation; and the Arts, Culture and Quality of Life. Our ECU Strategic Action Plan builds on the University's core strengths, the skill and capabilities of its faculty and staff, and ECU's many established national and international partnerships and supports out commitment to quality enhancement and student success.  Each of the units reporting to a Vice Chancellor has created a strategic plan that aligns to the Strategic Action Plan's goals and objectives.  Plans are regularly reviewed and assessed and are available through the TracDat® software tool and can also be viewed using the following links.
