CUPA-HR Faculty Salary Survey Report

CUPA-HR (College and University Professional Association for Human Resources) is the national authority on compensation surveys for higher education.CUPA-HR requests salary data from higher education institutions annually by means of seven salary surveys, one of which is devoted exclusively to faculty.By purchasing the CUPA-HR application DataOnDemand (DOD), higher education institutions can access aggregate data for all survey participants (with some confidentiality restrictions). The data in the reports linked below were generated from CUPA-HR DOD. In each of the reports, CUPA-HR faculty salary data (by both discipline and rank) are presented for ECU and comparison groups made up of other institutions that participated in the survey. The four comparison groups included in the reports are:

  • ECU's peers as selected by ECU and approved by The University of North Carolina
  • All public doctorate-granting universities (this includes institutions within ECU's basic Carnegie classification, Doctoral/Research Universities, as well as those in the classifications of Research Universities- Very High Research Activity and Research Universities- High Research Activity
  • All universities within The University of North Carolina system
  • All universities within ECU's basic Carnegie class (Doctoral/Research) only
