What is Moodle?Moodle is a software package for producing internet-based courses and web sites, guided by a social constructionist framework of education. Social constructionist pedagogy assumes that the knowledge a student receives is produced by the groups to which he or she belongs, or by their particular discourse agreements. Social groups construct things for one another, collaboratively creating a small culture of shared artifacts with shared meanings. Therefore, Moodle tools have an emphasis on: group work, collaboration, communication, sharing, activities, and critical reflection. |
