About: This year ECU is honoring Dr. King's legacy by serving our local community on January 20th, 2014. We will volunteer together for three hours at a local community organization. The day begins with a kick off at 8:30 am where we will hear from ECU students and community member about what the MLK Day of Service means to them. Please join the MLK Day of Service portal on OrgSync in order to participate. Service opportunities will be posted soon, so stay tuned!

About: Hill Harper will be the keynote speaker at ECUâ€,s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration Lecture on January 21, 2014 at 7 p.m. in Wright Auditorium on ECU's campus. Harper is a philanthropist, award-winning actor and the best-selling author of several books. The title of his speech is "Manifest Your Destiny." The event is free and open to the public; however, tickets must be requested from the ECU Central Ticket Office.
