Board of Governors Distinguished Professor for Teaching Award
My goals for students involve more than just learning information. I challenge my students to think from multiple perspectives, to think critically, to develop interpersonal skills, and to successfully translate research and theory into practice. It is vital for students who will be working with children and families to go beyond knowledge and comprehension, to reach higher levels of learning such as synthesis and evaluation, and to effectively apply their knowledge.
