DE Student Application Guide
Dear Prospective ECU student,
We are glad you have decided to apply to East Carolina University. When completing your application be sure to mark “Online degree only” in the appropriate field (See examples below). This assists us in making sure that you will receive all the information you need as one of over 6000 ECU students who pursue their degrees without having to come to the campus. You can access online and printable applications, admission requirements and determine associated deadlines at Undergraduate Admissions.
ATTENTION: Due to record enrollment in the Fall 2008 Term, available space in the upcoming Spring 2009 Semester for seats in online undergraduate classes is very limited. Admission to ECU for online undergraduate programs in the Spring 2009 term will be more selective and competitive than in previous years. Remaining space for the Spring 2009 term will be awarded to the most academically qualified applicants on first-come, first-served basis. Therefore, prospective students who are interested in online undergraduate classes may not be able to enroll until the Summer 2009 term. For more information, call 1-800-398-9275 and select option 3.
Upon completion of your application and acceptance to the University please keep in mind the following:

Parking permit: Distance education students do not need to purchase a parking permit.
On-campus orientation: Distance education students are not required to attend an on-campus orientation session unless required by their academic department. Admission to the university is determined by the director of undergraduate admissions. ECU Admission Application forms, transcripts, and questions regarding admission must be directed to Undergraduate Admissions 252-328-6133.
