What degrees and certificate programs are offered?
Undergraduate Degree Completion Programs
The distance education undergraduate degree programs at ECU are online degree completion programs. Students complete the first two years of college courses typically at a community college in their area. Check the departmental link for specific requirements. Upon nearing completion of these courses, you should apply and have your transcripts evaluated by the admissions office.
Graduate Degrees
With few exceptions these degree programs can be completed entirely on-line.
Graduate Certificates
These programs provide 12-18 hours of focused graduate coursework. A maximum of 9 s.h. of credit earned while enrolled in a graduate certificate program may be transferred into a degree program with the approval of the chair of the department offering the degree program.
Post Master's Nursing Certificates
Nurses with a master's degree in nursing are eligible to continue graduate study and obtain a post-master's certificate in selected areas. Four post-MSN certificate options offer registered nurses advanced practice education, qualifying them to take national certification exams.
Alternative Teacher Licensure
Alternative Routes to teacher licensure allow persons with at least a bachelor's degree to work toward a teaching license through various routes.
Add-On Licensure Programs
Licensed teachers can complete these online programs to qualify for licensure in additional areas.
