The Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC)

The SBTDC, a division of Regional Development Services at ECU, focuses on management counseling, addressing issues including financing, marketing, human resources, operations, business planning, and feasibility assessment.  In addition, the SBTDC helps small business owners to determine their eligibility for SBIR/STTR grants offered by the U.S. Small Business Administration.

ECU's Office of Technology Transfer
ECU's Office of Technology Transfer facilitates the development of products of innovation from the laboratory and the classroom for the benefit of society as a whole. OTT serves as an educational resource on intellectual property and licensing matters and manages the University’s portfolio of patents and licenses.

Regional Development Services
ECU’s Regional Development Services (RDS) is one of the university's gateways through which its considerable outreach and applied research resources are made available. Serving business, industry, local/state/federal government, individuals, and non-profit organizations, RDS links the expertise of its own staff with those of the university’s faculty and students to address problems in eastern North Carolina.
